Ten Ways To Stop Creating

  1. Open Instagram

  2. Notice every photographer and writer has more talent than you.

  3. Email with a potential client for a week only for them to decide “now isn’t a good time”

  4. Read that essay you wrote and re-edited 12 times 6 months ago and decide it’s still not ready to submit.

  5. Re-edit that photo for the 100th time and still think something is off about it.

  6. Binge watch Dawson’s creek instead of writing or editing those photos. Why was Joey ever into Dawson? Team Pacey for life.

  7. Walk around your house and decide you need to redecorate the entire thing before you take another photo in it.

  8. Finally put away the laundry and notice your daughter's closet is a mess. Declutter and clean her entire bedroom.

  9. Pinterest 20 different ideas for Christmas minis, add all the things you “need” to your amazon cart.

  10. Look on Amazon for a new notebook, maybe you’ll be a better writer. Check Pinterest again, and wonder when will Hearth and Hand come out with their Christmas line at Target? Make a list of all the things you need to pick up from Target. Open Instagram again….

Creatives, did I miss anything?
