I am so glad you are here! I have had a hard time considering myself a “creative” for far too long now. This space is where I own it. Some of my favorite creative outlets in life and motherhood are writing and photography, usually some combination of the two. I love using photography to capture the moments I don’t want to forget and words to document the stories.
About me
I start most days (after chauffeuring the kids off to school) with a hot cup of coffee (love a good homemade mocha!) and my bible and a notebook. I end most days snuggled up on the couch next to my handsome husband with popcorn and our favorite shows,
The in-between is where it gets fun! You can find me working on homeschool content for Habitat Schoolhouse, photographing my amazing clients, getting lost in a good book, writing, baking, knitting, catching up on the never-ending laundry and dishes, or mothering in all its glory!
I constantly have words swirling in my head and do not get them on paper nearly enough. I notice light and how it makes everything beautiful and take photos of it every chance I get. I don’t like cheese (I know, I know, don’t come for me!). I love hosting, and feeding people brings me an insane amount of joy. And if you know me then you know I am cheering you on!
About my family.
I have been with my husband Brent for over 16 years, married for 10 of them. Our marriage isn’t perfect but most days he is my absolute favorite person to be around. He is steady, he shows up, he is kind, and he makes me laugh harder than anyone I know pretty much every single day. So yeah, I hit the lottery with him.
We have 3 amazing kids, Brady Daniel (16), Easton James (9), and Zoey Jean (7). Being their mom has been my greatest joy in life and God is constantly sanctifying me through motherhood. My stories are theirs.
Do the work, learn the skills, and make art because of what the act of creation will create in you.
